On Oct.7, 2016, Lowe’s and RONA have entered into a definitive agreement for the acquisition of RONA’s outstanding Cumulative 5-Year Rate Reset Series 6 Class A Preferred Shares and Cumulative Floating Rate Series 7 Class A Preferred Share for C$24 per share in cash pursuant to a plan of arrangement under the Business Corporations Act (Québec).

The Board of Directors of the comoany has declared a quarterly cash dividend of thirty five cents ($0.35) per share, payable November 2, 2016, to shareholders of record as of October 19, 2016.

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. reported net earnings of $1.2 billion for the quarter ended July 29, 2016, a 3.7 percent increase over the same period a year ago. For the six months ended July 29, 2016, net earnings increased 14.0 percent from the same period a year ago to $2.1 billion.
