Landec Corporation, established in 1986 and headquartered in Santa Maria, California, is a company dedicated to the design, development, production, and global distribution of distinctive health and wellness products within the food and biomaterials industries. Its main operating divisions are Lifecore and Curation Foods. The Lifecore segment manufactures pharmaceutical-grade sodium hyaluronate (HA) in bulk and also formulates and fills syringes and vials for injectable products used in diverse medical treatments and procedures. This segment further provides a comprehensive range of services to its partners, encompassing technological advancements, material component modifications, analytical and formulation development, pilot and stability investigations, process validation, and the production of materials for clinical studies. These services are offered for both HA-based and non-HA-based products that are aseptically formulated and filled. Lifecore's non-HA medical products primarily target the ophthalmic, orthopedic, and other specialized medical markets. The Curation Foods segment focuses on the processing, marketing, and sale of "O" brand olive oils and wine vinegars. It also offers guacamole and avocado food products under the "Yucatan" and "Cabo Fresh" brands, as well as various private labels.
