Company Description

Cimarex Energy Co. functions as an independent entity primarily engaged in the exploration and production of oil and natural gas, with its operational footprint spanning Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. By the close of 2019, the company possessed a substantial portfolio of proved reserves, amounting to 619.6 million barrels of oil equivalent (BOE). These reserves, largely concentrated within the Permian Basin and Mid-Continent regions, were composed of 1.53 trillion cubic feet of natural gas, 169.8 million barrels of crude oil, and 194.5 million barrels of natural gas liquids. Furthermore, Cimarex held ownership stakes in 2,782 net productive oil and gas wells. The firm was established in 2002 and is headquartered in Denver, Colorado.
