Its clientele spans asphalt manufacturers, heavy civil and road construction contractors, ready-mix concrete suppliers, companies engaged in construction and demolition waste recycling, and government entities. Conversely, the Materials Solutions division specializes in designing and producing robust machinery for material processing. This includes crushing, screening, and vibrating equipment, along with mobile, modular, and portable plant configurations. It also provides bulk material handling and conveying systems, plant automation solutions, and specialized mineral processing equipment. This segment augments its product offerings with expert consulting and engineering support. Astec Industries, Inc. was established in 1972 and maintains its corporate headquarters in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
