Bonso Electronics International Inc., alongside its affiliated companies, is dedicated to the creation, production, and distribution of electronic goods leveraging sensor technology and wireless capabilities. The organization operates through four primary business segments: Scales, Pet Electronic Products, Rental and Management, and a miscellaneous "Others" category. The Scales segment offers a broad range of sensor-equipped weighing instruments. These include items for domestic use, such as bathroom and kitchen scales, as well as professional-grade equipment for offices, jewelry, laboratories, postal services, and industrial applications, catering to consumer, commercial, and industrial clients. Its Pet Electronic Products division is responsible for developing and manufacturing electronic devices specifically designed for pets, primarily targeting individual consumers. The Rental and Management segment generates revenue by leasing industrial facilities and machinery to third-party clients. Finally, the "Others" segment encompasses the sale of diverse products like cordless leaf blowers, food vacuum sealers, and hydroponic growing systems, alongside the sale of scrap materials and the provision of tooling and molding services for scales. Bonso primarily serves private label original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), original brand manufacturers (OBMs), and original design manufacturers (ODMs). Its major markets are situated in the United States, Germany, and the People's Republic of China. Furthermore, the company utilizes online platforms for the direct sale of its pet electronic product line. Established in 1988, the company was initially known as Golden Virtue Limited. It subsequently changed its name to Bonso Electronics International Inc. in September of the same year. The firm's headquarters are located in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong.
