Its offerings are applied across various sectors such as utilities, waste-to-energy plants, biomass operations, carbon black manufacturing, and industrial steam generation. This division supplies systems for efficient cooling, ash management, particulate matter reduction, removal of nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxides, carbon capture through chemical looping, and mercury abatement. The Babcock & Wilcox Thermal segment supplies critical steam generation equipment, provides essential aftermarket parts, and offers comprehensive construction, maintenance, and on-site support services. These provisions cater to the power generation, oil and gas, and diverse industrial sectors. The segment boasts a substantial installed base of equipment serving both utilities and general industrial applications, including refining, petrochemicals, food processing, and metallurgy.
