Donegal Group Inc. functions as an insurance holding company, delivering both personal and commercial property and casualty coverage to individuals and businesses alike. Its operations are organized into three distinct segments: Investment Function, Personal Lines of Insurance, and Commercial Lines of Insurance. For private clients, the company provides automobile insurance policies that protect against financial responsibility for injuries and property damage resulting from vehicle accidents, in addition to covering damage to the insured's own vehicle. Homeowners policies are also offered, shielding residences and their contents from a spectrum of hazards such as fire, lightning, high winds, and theft, while simultaneously covering the policyholder's liability for harm caused to other people or their possessions. In the commercial sphere, Donegal Group furnishes business automobile policies, guarding against liability for bodily harm and property damage from vehicle incidents, along with protecting against physical damage to company-owned vehicles. Its commercial multi-peril policies deliver integrated protection to businesses by combining liability and physical damage coverages, and it also offers workers' compensation policies, which provide financial benefits to employees for job-related injuries. The company markets its insurance offerings predominantly across the Mid-Atlantic, Midwestern, New England, Southern, and Southwestern regions of the U.S., utilizing a network of approximately 2,300 independent insurance agencies. Donegal Group Inc. was founded in 1986 and maintains its principal executive offices in Marietta, Pennsylvania.
