This segment also creates decorative composite laminates for furniture, residential and commercial flooring, and produces specialty engineered materials vital for electrical energy storage, home applications, hygiene products, and other fiber-based solutions. The Airlaid Materials segment is a key provider of absorbent cellulose-based airlaid nonwoven materials. These are incorporated into a wide array of consumer and industrial products such as feminine and general hygiene items, specialized wipes, tabletop products, adult incontinence supplies, and home care solutions. Lastly, the Spunlace division is dedicated to producing spunlace nonwovens. These versatile materials are extensively utilized in cleaning products, high-performance applications, personal care items, hygiene products, and the medical field. Founded in 1864 as P. H. Glatfelter Company, Glatfelter Corporation currently has its corporate headquarters located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
