On the software side, Genasys develops the Genasys Emergency Management (GEM) platform. Another key software product is the National Emergency Warning System (NEWS), an application collaborating with mobile carriers to disseminate urgent alerts to the general public. They also offer Integrated Mass Notification Systems (IMNS), an integrated emergency response solution that seamlessly combines GEM software with Genasys' proprietary speaker hardware. The versatile GEM software facilitates critical communication across multiple channels, including email, voice calls, text messages, panic button activations, desktop alerts, television, and social media. Genasys reaches its diverse client base – which includes governments, military organizations, end-users, and commercial enterprises – through direct sales. Formerly known as LRAD Corporation, Genasys Inc. maintains its headquarters in San Diego, California.
