Furthermore, it provides Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms that enable the bundling and transmission of diverse streaming content – including live streams, video-on-demand, catch-up TV, start-over TV, network-based digital video recording (DVR), and cloud-based DVR services. These services are delivered via HTTP streaming to a multitude of devices and incorporate dynamic, personalized advertising insertion capabilities. The Cable Access division specializes in offering CableOS software-centric cable access solutions and CableOS central cloud services, primarily targeting cable operators. Ultimately, Harmonic's product suite empowers its clients to create, manage, store, broadcast, and stream a wide spectrum of video services to end-user devices, including televisions, personal computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. Beyond its core offerings, the company provides a range of technical support and professional services. These include ongoing maintenance and support, expert consulting, system implementation, project oversight, technical design and planning, site preparation, integration, equipment installation, thorough system testing, and user training. The company distributes its products both through its internal sales team and indirectly via independent resellers and systems integrators. Harmonic Inc. was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in San Jose, California.
