Company Description

This diversified, closed-end investment fund, advised by Nuveen Fund Advisors, LLC, aims to deliver substantial current income to its shareholders. A secondary objective is to return a target of $9.85 per share upon its planned termination around November 1, 2021. The fund primarily focuses its investments on corporate debt securities that are rated below investment grade. It also has the flexibility to strategically invest in other instruments such as senior loans, convertible securities, various other debt instruments, and derivatives that offer similar exposure to the corporate debt market. Per its investment policy, at least 80% of the fund's managed assets must be allocated to corporate debt securities. Furthermore, at least 80% of the securities held by the fund, at the time of investment, will be either below investment grade or unrated but deemed by the managers to be of comparable quality.
