The Nuveen Tax-Advantaged Dividend Growth Fund (referred to herein as 'the Fund') operates as a diversified, closed-end registered investment vehicle. Its primary goal is to generate appealing tax-advantaged income and foster capital growth. This is achieved mainly by acquiring equity securities that pay dividends, particularly common shares of mid-sized to large corporations with promising dividend payouts and prospects for both increased dividends and overall share value appreciation. The Fund's portfolio also includes preferred shares issued by mid- to large-capitalization firms and various fixed-income instruments. Additionally, it may, on a restricted basis, engage in selling (writing) call options linked to diverse equity market benchmarks. Its holdings span a wide range of industries, such as banking, insurance, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, professional services, software, biotechnology, and automotive. Nuveen Fund Advisors, LLC, serves as the investment manager for the Fund.
