Beyond its core trucking operations, Knight-Swift provides logistics and intermodal solutions, which include freight brokerage, intermodal services, comprehensive freight management, and various non-trucking offerings. The firm also extends a suite of support services, such as vehicle repair and maintenance, warranty coverage, insurance, equipment leasing, manufacturing and warehousing of trailer parts, and professional driver training through its academy. Additionally, Knight-Swift facilitates national transportation requirements through its regional direct services, utilizing third-party carriers to cover regions outside its proprietary network. The company commands an extensive fleet, comprising 18,019 tractors in total (16,166 company-owned and 1,853 operated by independent contractors), alongside 67,606 trailers. Its LTL and intermodal capabilities are further bolstered by 2,735 tractors, 7,413 trailers, and 10,847 intermodal containers. Its clientele spans a broad spectrum of industries, including retail, food and beverage, consumer products, paper products, transportation and logistics, housing and building, automotive, and manufacturing sectors. Founded in 1989, the company maintains its corporate headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona.
