South of the border, the company operates a critical commercial rail line within the Mexican system, providing a direct passageway between Mexico City and Laredo, Texas. KCS also ensures seamless cross-border trade by offering essential rail access to the US-Mexico border crossing at Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, and fully manages the international rail bridge at Laredo, Texas. Furthermore, its operations extend to the Pacific Coast, serving the port of Lazaro Cardenas, and include a 157-mile rail line connecting Laredo to Corpus Christi, Texas. The company caters to a wide array of sectors, including chemicals and petroleum, industrial and consumer goods, agriculture and minerals, energy, intermodal freight, and automotive markets.
