The company specializes in acquiring and managing installment contracts for new and pre-owned vehicles, including automobiles and light trucks. Additionally, the firm extends direct consumer loans and markets other related financial products. By March 31, 2022, Nicholas Financial operated 47 branch locations spanning 19 states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Wisconsin. Founded in 1985, its corporate headquarters are based in Clearwater, Florida.
