Company Description

New Residential Investment Corp. is a U.S.-based real estate investment trust (REIT) that functions through various segments, including Origination, Servicing, MSR Related Investments, Residential Securities, Properties and Loans, Consumer Loans, Mortgage Loans, and Corporate operations. The company strategically invests in a diverse portfolio of assets, such as mortgage servicing rights, firms involved in mortgage origination and servicing, residential mortgage-backed securities, real estate properties and associated loans, consumer loans, and other opportunistic ventures. As a qualified REIT for federal income tax purposes, it is generally exempt from federal corporate income taxation, provided it distributes a minimum of 90% of its taxable earnings to its shareholders. New Residential Investment Corp. was founded in 2011 and maintains its headquarters in New York, New York.
