Company Description

Everest Re Group, Ltd. is a global entity that, through its various subsidiaries, specializes in providing a comprehensive range of reinsurance and primary insurance products. Its operations span the United States, Bermuda, and numerous other international locations. The company's business is strategically organized into two principal divisions: Reinsurance Operations and Insurance Operations. The Reinsurance arm primarily underwrites property and casualty reinsurance, in addition to offering various niche specialty lines. These reinsurance solutions are accessed either through reinsurance brokers or directly by ceding companies across key markets including the U.S., Bermuda, Ireland, Canada, Singapore, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. In contrast, the Insurance Operations segment delivers property and casualty insurance coverage. This segment's products are distributed directly to clients or through a broad network of brokers, surplus lines brokers, and general agents, reaching Bermuda, Canada, several European countries, South America, Chile, the U.K., Ireland, and the Netherlands. Everest Re's extensive product suite includes both treaty and facultative reinsurance, alongside admitted and non-admitted insurance policies. Their broad spectrum of property and casualty reinsurance and insurance coverages features offerings such as marine, aviation, surety, professional liability (like errors and omissions, and directors' and officers' liability), medical malpractice, mortgage reinsurance, a variety of other specialized lines, accident and health, and workers' compensation products. Additionally, the company provides commercial property and casualty insurance options, distributed via wholesale and retail brokers, surplus lines brokers, and program administrators. Established in 1973, Everest Re Group, Ltd. maintains its corporate headquarters in Hamilton, Bermuda.
