Its global operations are categorized into several key segments: the U.S. and Latin America; Canada; Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA); Asia Pacific; and a Corporate and Other division. The U.S. and Latin America segment primarily caters to domestic clients, providing individual and group life and health reinsurance, commonly structured through yearly renewable term agreements, coinsurance, and modified coinsurance. In Canada, the company's main emphasis is on individual life reinsurance, supplemented by offerings in creditor, group life and health, critical illness, and disability reinsurance, all typically managed via yearly renewable term and coinsurance arrangements. The Europe, Middle East, and Africa division delivers a full suite of individual and group life and health products through yearly renewable term and coinsurance agreements. This segment also includes critical illness coverage, designed to provide benefits upon the diagnosis of pre-defined conditions, as well as underwritten annuities. The Asia Pacific segment offers individual and group life and health reinsurance, alongside critical illness, disability, and superannuation coverage, predominantly utilizing yearly renewable term and coinsurance frameworks. Finally, the Corporate and Other segment is responsible for managing investment income generated from unallocated assets, reporting investment-related gains and losses, and handling service fees. Founded in 1973, Reinsurance Group of America maintains its corporate headquarters in Chesterfield, Missouri.
