The company's business model is divided into two main divisions: Marketplace and Resale. The Marketplace segment functions as an intermediary, linking individuals who wish to purchase event tickets with those selling them. It processes ticket transactions via its dedicated website, mobile applications, and through strategic partnerships with distribution channels, providing access to a diverse array of live experiences, including sporting events, music concerts, and theatrical productions. This division also provides Skybox, a specialized enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, enabling ticket sellers to efficiently manage their inventory, adjust pricing dynamically, and fulfill orders across multiple secondary ticket exchanges. Conversely, the Resale segment concentrates on procuring tickets directly for subsequent redistribution on various secondary ticketing platforms. Additionally, this segment is responsible for internal research and development efforts, contributing to the advancement of the Skybox platform and the creation of new software solutions and tools for sellers. Vivid Seats Inc. was established in 2001 and maintains its corporate headquarters in Chicago, Illinois.
