The company's activities are organized across four primary divisions. Its Natural Gas Transportation division oversees a substantial 5,769-mile pipeline system, through which it delivers natural gas to utility providers, power plants, and industrial clients. This segment also handles the ongoing operation and upkeep of its gas transmission facilities. The Liquids Production and Commercialization unit focuses on manufacturing and marketing various natural gas liquids, including ethane, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), natural gasoline, propane, and butane, serving both domestic and international markets. The Other Services segment provides a suite of intermediate processing functions, such as the purification, separation, and decontamination of natural gas streams, alongside gas compression services. Furthermore, this division is involved in the construction, operation, and maintenance of pipelines and compressor stations, and generates steam for power generation. Lastly, the Telecommunications segment offers communication services, leveraging a sophisticated network that includes a digital microwave system with synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH) technology, as well as a dark fiber optic infrastructure. As of December 31, 2021, TGS had extended its services to approximately 6.2 million final consumers, encompassing residential, commercial, industrial, and electricity generation sectors. Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Transportadora de Gas del Sur S.A. operates as a subsidiary of Compañía de Inversiones de Energía S.A.
